Industrial Mechanic (m/f/d)

Industrial mechanics ensure that machines and production plants are ready for operation. They manufacture equipment parts, machine components and groups and assemble them into machines and technical systems. Then they set them up, put them into operation and check their functions. Their tasks also include maintenance and upkeep of the equipment. They identify causes of faults, order or manufacture suitable spare parts and carry out repairs. After completing assembly and inspection work, they brief colleagues or customers about the operation and handling.

Your tasks

  • Independent production and adjustment of production systems
  • Tools and fixture construction and the maintenance thereof
  • Overview of the manufacturing technology used in cutting machines as well as CNC-controlled production machines
  • Applying measurement and test techniques according to specified quality requirements
  • CAD-supported technical communication
  • Construction of pneumatic controls

Your profile

  • Mittlere Reife, GCSE, high school diploma or equivalent, or entrance qualification for advanced technical colleges or general universities
  • Good results in maths and physics
  • Enthusiasm for technical challenges
  • High-level technical comprehension
  • Good team player with good communication skills
  • Commitment and openness to new things

Duration of apprenticeship

  • 3.5 years
