According to our motto “An apprenticeship that connects”, we recently invited our future apprentices and their parents to an informative and fun afternoon at our company. The focus was on “breaking the ice” before the apprenticeship starts in September.

News-24 APPRENTICES START NEW PHASE IN LIFE

Well done: 24 Kathrein apprentices have now received their certificates. This means that they have successfully completed their training. There was a lot of recognition and praise at the traditional Apprenticeship Completion Ceremony.

Spending a semester abroad in New Zealand

Michael Maier is a former apprentice at Kathrein SE and is currently completing dual studies at the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences. There, he is studying mechanical engineering and is also working in research and development in the Products division at Kathrein. In order to improve his English and gain experience abroad, he went to New Zealand for one semester. Here is his experience report:

21 new apprentices started their inspiring and exciting apprenticeship at Kathrein on 3 September. This year we are offering two new apprenticeships: Wholesale and foreign trade clerk (focus on foreign trade) and office management clerk.

Azubis Go USA

For the fifth time now, the “Joachim Herz Stiftung” has supported 25 apprentices from Bavaria and Hamburg to go to Atlanta, Georgia, for an internship programme. One of them was Max Neumann, who is working as apprentice industrial mechanic with Kathrein. After applying for a scholarship in August 2017 and after successfully passing the selection process, he started his ten-week trip to Atlanta on 17 March 2018. Here is his experience report:
