Technology is not for men only: Twenty-two schoolgirls from Rosenheim and the area had the opportunity to visit Kathrein on the nationwide Girls’Day. They learned about the various technical careers at Kathrein and joined the apprentices in the training workshop for some hands-on experience.

Which is the right job for me? Recent graduates and junior job seekers flocked to the jobfit! 2017, a career and job fair organised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to find an answer to this question. At the Cultural and Congress Centre Rosenheim, more than 100 local and regional companies presented a huge variety of jobs and apprenticeships.

Kathrein was one of five companies to kick off the Girls’Day 2017 event at the Federal Chancellery. During the campaign day, 24 schoolgirls from various Berlin schools had the opportunity to produce and test a WLAN antenna at the Kathrein stand. The nationwide Girls’Day is intended to support girls in the MINT areas (Mathematics, Informatics, Natural sciences and Technology) and spark their interest in technical professions.

On 24 March 2017, Wasserburg’s historic town hall was the setting for the state prize ceremony of the Rosenheim district. The most successful graduates, this year 124 students, from all vocational schools in the district were honoured.
