Kathrein Launches into the SAP Age

Kathrein pushes ahead the group companies’ integration with the introduction of SAP business software. The software provides the essential information in a comprehensive way and thus ensures uniform business processes throughout the group. Over the past two and a half years, more than 100 employees and around 40 external experts have participated in the project.

The company sees the introduction of a powerful ERP system (enterprise resource planning) as a key to future economic success. It integrates a variety of business applications and operational data, which are processed and then stored in a central database. This enables the planning of global business processes across all corporate functions and levels, sales regions and group companies.

“We can make much better use of the unique strengths of our company with the introduction of SAP,” says Anton Kathrein, CEO of the Kathrein Group. Standardised and efficient processes as well as high levels of transparency are the basis for further global growth and increased competitiveness in all business units, says the CEO.

“The cooperation of numerous colleagues from different departments was crucial for the successful implementation of the highly complex programme. I would like to thank all of the employees who have contributed with great commitment to the success of the project,” says Frank Stegherr, Head of SAP Program Management at Kathrein.

After the launch of SAP at KATHREIN-Werke KG, the new ERP system will be expanded over the next few months and will be rolled out successively to the group companies.
