Young Researcher of our Regional "Jugend forscht" Competition Goes to Berlin
Chancellor Merkel Supports "Jugend forscht"
“Germany has a global reputation as a centre for research excellence. The fact that we are very good at innovation and research is also the basis for being able to live in prosperity. That’s why it is so important to keep promoting young talents,” said Angela Merkel.
On 6 September 2018, the Chancellor met the winners of the 2018 “Jugend forscht” competition at the Chancellery. She was particularly pleased about the increased participation of girls and encouraged them to opt for a MINT career: “Research is fun and exciting,” said Angela Merkel in her podcast video (only available in German).
“Jugend forscht” Competition in Rosenheim Enters 3rd Round
At this year’s regional competition in February 2018, around 100 young researchers showed their scientific and technical projects in Rosenheim. Our CEO was very impressed by the curiosity and ingenuity of the participants: “The young researchers’ ideas are the basis for tomorrow’s innovations,” said Anton Kathrein. Impressions of the two competition days can be found our gallery.
As a partner of the “Jugend forscht” foundation, Kathrein will team up for the third time with the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences to host the regional competition. We are looking forward to it!
