Kathrein Expands its Service Trade with Acquisition
The Enkom Group employs a workforce of some 130 and offers high-quality, customised services in the area of planning, realisation and operation of communication and infrastructure solutions throughout the whole of Switzerland. By means of selective deployment of the latest technologies, it supports its customers in digitisation and the use of modern communication solutions. This includes planning and implementation of national and regional wireless and wireline networks including ongoing optimisation and development – from initial customer or proprietor contact through to coordination, handling and realisation of the entire project.
The Enkom Group also offers individualised, comprehensive solutions in the field of system integration, drawing on a range of different manufacturers. Well-established, professional project management ensures smooth and cost-efficient organisation of all projects.
Established processes and instruments
“Enkom AG is an ideal partner for Kathrein. Both companies are highly innovative and committed to the same high quality standards,” says Jürgen Walter, Head of Solutions with Kathrein. “With this acquisition we are accelerating the expansion of our global service trade while also strengthening our position as a provider of innovative comprehensive solutions for mobile communication companies, cable network providers and corporate clients in the Swiss market,” adds Walter. He says that Kathrein will benefit from Enkom’s experienced management and established processes.
The name Enkom is to remain
By the same token, Enkom AG will benefit from integration in the Kathrein Group. “This takeover allows us to consistently expand our range of services along the entire value creation chain. As a result we’ll be able to provide our customers with even more individually oriented comprehensive solutions and services by combining Kathrein's global experience with our local knowledge to the benefit of our customers,” explains Roger Notter, CEO of Enkom. The company will be integrated in the Kathrein Group but continue to operate under the same name and with its existing management.
