Kathrein Moves into New Main Building in Rosenheim

Kathrein has reached another milestone in the conversion of its headquarters in Rosenheim. At Klepperstraße, the company has renovated and rebuilt an eight-storey high-rise building from the ground up within under two years. It now houses the Executive Board and group-wide central functions. Two of the seven floors are especially intended for customers, business partners and delegation visits. They are equipped with the latest technology and will be used for presentations, conferences and receptions as well as workshops, training courses and technology demonstrations.

The recently reopened main building meets the latest standards. "During the planning stage, we put great emphasis on creating an environment in which people feel comfortable and like to spend their time. The modern interior design and optimal infrastructure contribute to this,” says Thomas Reichenspurner, Head of Facility Management at Kathrein. The architects designed almost 1,600 square metres of open-plan, light-flooded offices, various communication platforms and multi-functional event and meeting rooms.

The top floor is specially set up for the reception and interaction with customers, business partners and delegations. In addition to two conference rooms with multimedia equipment and a small kitchen, the seventh floor also features the “Sky Lounge”. It offers impressive views over the town of Rosenheim and the famous Alps. "We wanted to create a unique environment for dialogue and interaction and are very pleased with the result. From the top floor, we can not only see the building where my grandfather founded the company in 1919, but also explain our current testbed activities. You could say that here the past meets the future,” says Anton Kathrein, CEO of the Kathrein Group.

A multi-functional showroom where one can experience Kathrein’s unique technology and innovation competencies is planned to be opened on the ground floor in the second half of 2017.
