“Mr Pflitsch is an extremely competent specialist who will perfectly complement the competencies of our Executive Board,” says Anton Kathrein, CEO of the Kathrein Group. “He is a top manager and experienced CFO with substantial experience in the financial services sector. With his international, multifaceted background, he has built up an extensive network in the course of his career.”

After studying physics, Markus Pflitsch (45) began his professional career at The Boston Consulting Group, a global business consulting firm, for which he served as a project manager in Germany and North America. In 2001, he changed to Deutsche Bank AG in Frankfurt as Director for Corporate Development responsible for the coordination and implementation of international strategic and M&A projects.

From 2003 to 2005, Mr Pflitsch served as Managing Director at HypoVereinsbank AG. He then continued his career at the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, where he was Head of Corporate Development for several years, before becoming Chairman of the Executive Management responsible for restructuring the LBBW Immobilien GmbH.
