Kathrein has generated more sales than planned in the first six months of this year and is clearly on a growth course. By the end of June, the company had revenues of around €394 million, exceeding its calculated sales target of just under €372 million for this period. Kathrein is also in line or ahead of plan with the important milestones of its restructuring programme.

Kathrein is driving forward the expansion of mobile communication networks in Bavaria together with their partner Deutsche Telekom. Bavaria’s head of state Markus Söder (CSU) came to Inning/Ammersee to hear about the telecommunications company’s plans. At the event, Kathrein presented an ultra-compact antenna system, which Telekom plans to deploy at numerous mobile communication sites.

Kathrein has repeated its 2017 success and is one of the winners of the prestigious 2018 German Brand Award. A high-level jury of noted experts from business and science honoured the company for its forward-looking Network Vision 2022. More than 1,250 nominations were evaluated in three competition classes. Last year, Kathrein also received two German Brand Awards.

Kathrein expedites its restructuring: As from 1 May 2018, the company’s legal form changed into a public limited European Company (Societas Europaea, SE). The group now operates under the name of KATHREIN SE. As a further restructuring measure, Katek GmbH, headquartered in Grassau and up to now a member of the Kathrein Group, was sold to PRIMEPULSE SE, a Munich-based holding company.

Technology is not for men only: Twenty-two schoolgirls from Rosenheim and the area had the opportunity to visit Kathrein on the nationwide Girls’Day. They learned about the various technical careers at Kathrein and joined the apprentices in the training workshop for some hands-on experience.
